Isn't it both...

sad and amazing how fall so quickly goes by? One minute the trees are colored in brilliant reds, yellow and oranges. When the sun hits just right, some even look like they are on fire. I just love all those beautiful bright colors! Here's a picture I took in the morning on Monday October 26th of the path that leads around the small lake that's across the street from Chris' house. On October 31st I went out again...granted this time it was late-ish afternoon...but still... Pretty much all color from the trees, gone.  Fall is the pretties of the season...at least in my own personal opinion. It's also the one that seems to last the very shortest. :( Oh...and since this is actually a blog for Wesley and not my ramblings...maybe I should pop a photo of him in here somewhere too, hm? Call my hijacking of Poodle at Play a bit of Monday Mischief! Can you see that Wesley really enjoys fall as well? :)

Morning Run Fun

Image
Off today, so I'm over here slumming it at Chris' house with Wesley and Honey. Went out this morning and they had a really good session of 'Let's-chase-each-other-around-and-act-like-nuts!' this morning. It's so much fun watching these two run around like that, especially with all the pretty fall leaves around!

We live!

Amanda here. This blog (and my own...) have fallen to the wayside once again. I've been through a long period of just...blah and not wanting to. Wesley now stays with Chris, and that has definitely pulled me down because I miss having my little guy with me at home in PA. He's doing well and just fine...and most of all is SAFE here in NJ. When I'm over Chris' I make sure we get in plenty of play and cuddle time. Just this morning we went out for early morning fall walks...which resulted in early morning fall baths as well... It's been a bit more then two months since my last post, and just as long since I've done anything like poke my nose around in Blogville. Blogville is just such a wonderful, happy place and I myself just wasn't feeling that way...so I pulled us back from it. I feel myself swinging back out of the pit I've been in though, and I'm hoping to be able to post more here and involve more within Blogville again soo...

Weekdays walks

Image
Lately Momma and I have gotten back out and walking again! This is a very exciting awesome thing, because the weather is perfect for it and all the trees are showing off such pretty fall colors. We've even gotten to see a waterfall ((which was kinda wimpy, actually. Momma hadn't realized just how little rain we've had this past summer until seeing the falls by her house and how not-roaring they were.)). Here are some pictures from the walks we've been taking this past week.  Little help, momma? My leash got caught on a rock! Oh sure, take this moment to take another picture, why don't you? Ain't it purdy? We can only imagine what it's like with more rain! Checking for pee-mail before leaving some of my own! These falls colors are so pretty... ...that even I have to stop and look for awhile! The results of our walks? Poppa and I passed out!

Fall Hike

Image
It was a really pretty day yesterday, and mom decided that we would use that as an excuse to do a little bit of walking/hiking in the afternoon. There's another dog blogger out there by the name of Shawnee who goes on hikes allllllll the time with her pawrent. (You can go over over here to visit Shawnee's blog!) Shawnee's pawrent also has a blog where she gives well-detailed instructions about their hike and how to get to these places ( Visit the blog, Gone Hikin' .) Well, mom momma was THRILLED when she visited Gone Hikin', because lots of the places Shawnee had hiked where prettttty close to us! So for our hike yesterday she picked one of the places Shawnee and her mom had gone and off we went. We DID cut our hike a little shorter because she wasn't sure we were ready for a 10 mile long hike just yet, and also unsure how long that would take us to do even if we were (the days ARE shorter, afterall). She's promised me that since we enjoyed this shorter ...

A much better day!

All that rain and gross weather from yesterday has cleared away to leave a beautiful day for today! My momma is still feeling not 100% due to her cold, but with enough cold meds she is feeling mostly human again. She even got me something from where she works...my very own pumpkin! And it's a big one, too!     She's been doing research on orchards and pumpkin patches that are dog friendly in the area so I can come along, but her search isn't turning up as much as she'd hoped. She's turned up plenty of places where us four-pawed family members used to be allowed, but are no longer. It seems like to many of our human parents and siblings didn't do their duty by removing our doodie in previous years, and so us dogs are no longer welcome. It makes mom a bit sad...she thought it would be lots of fun. It's things like that that just make her more determined to be a good poodle momma, complete by making sure my doodie never ruins anyone else's fun!  ...

Second post, and go!

My momma tells me it's fall, and that's why all the leaves that have been on the trees are now on the ground. They're pretty comfy too, when in a good enough pile.     She took this weird looking stick with her. I didn't trust it one bit. It had so many teeth on it, I though it might bite her! Wisely, I kept my distance as she fought with the whatever-it-is. She must have eventually won, because it then disappeared for awhile and she started to fun, important stuff: playing fetch with ME.     I LOVE bringing my wubba back to her...sometimes I just don't like to actually give it to her. She has to earn the right to throw it for me again!   And then it happened...she threw my wubba, I turned around the rock and there was the tooth-y stick thing again, hiding behind a tree!     I barked at it a few times to warn it off, but it didn't make any move...must have scared it stiff! Being the brave little poodle I am, I decided t...
