Christmas Recap!

Hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas, and that everyone got lots of good things!

My Christmas was a very nice one...thought I really didn't get anything Christmas morning.

Well, no. I got lots of love and scratches...and that's perfectly a-ok by me!

We started with my dad's Mom, Donna, making up breakfast.

Uncle Steve, that toast looks really good and Honey and I both agree that we should have some.

After breakfast it was time to head into the other room to open up some presents.

Here's my Dad's mom, Donna, handing my uncle Kevin a present! In the back to the left is my dad's dad, Jim. And of course my Dad there in the right corner!

The 25th isn't only Christmas day...it's also my uncle Kevin's birthday! He's the baby of the family and freshly turned 23. For some reason or another, he makes me nervous. I bark at him overtime he comes onto the room and act very nervous around him. No one knows why, though Chris and my uncle Steve think it's hilarious.

'That's right, Wes! Don't go near that shady guy Kevin!'

Mom scolds Dad when he says that.

Since it was Kevin's birthday and he was sitting at the time and not so scary, I though maybe I could offer to let him pet me a little as a birthday/Christmas gift.

Ok Kevin...just this once! It is your birthday after all.

After a moment or two of allowing Kevin to pet me, I went to hide by Dad. He had just opened up a near pair of lounge type pants from his mom and the camo cover was perfect to keep me hidden.

He can't see me under this came, right?

Mom made Dad wear a Bah Humbug hat, cause he can be kind of a grinch. Before she put it on his head he had been playing with me with the pom...and I wanted it back!

Give me the pom-pom dad!

After opening presents at Dad's Mom and I (dad stayed home - he had a cold!) headed over to her Mom's apartment where my Aunt Sarah and Uncle Kris already were having a late breakfast.

...hey...any of that for me?

I hadn't seen my Aunt Sarah or Uncle Kris since I started living with my Dad in Nj. I was excited to see them, and Aunt Sarah was happy to see me, too!

Right Aunt Sarah, I love you too...but Uncle Kris still have food over there!
...you left some egg in your face-fur...let me help with that...

There were LOTS of nice butt and head scratches!

Mom and I stayed there for awhile...but before long it was time to head back to Dad's house to start helping out with dinner preparations!

But before that, we went upstairs and had a little nap.

Christmas is tiring.

Then it was downstairs to help get dinner prep'd and ready...and then finally....

It was time to eat!

Sadly Honey and I were not allowed to sit at the table with the rest of the family. Instead we mostly just hung out by my Dad (he's the most generous with the good stuff...until Mom catches him and scolds him saying completely mental things like 'Stop that! You're feeding him to much and he's getting fat!')

Come Dad...Mom isn't looking...just a little bit?
Can I have some too, please?
Then after dinner there was a lot of cleaning...and after that? A lot of snoozing!

  7. Uncle K has a Christmas Birthday...Happy Happy to him. We thought it was kinda funny that you are a tad in awe(scared) of him. The first family pet here was a mighty mini Dachshund named Toto. He was so afraid of my Gpa. Every time Gpa came to visit Toto would roll over on his back and pee in the air...well of course the pee landed on him and then he had to have a bath which he H A T E D! Finally mom told Gpa to call ahead of time so she could have Toto outside when Gpa arrived. That helped with TOTO not needing a bath but he would bark his head off when he saw Gpa.
looks like you all had a great Christmas
