A bit of wintery weather

Finally we've got a bit of weather that looks more like winter!

Mom would be complaining, but she too much wanted to see a little bit of winter white.

And a little bit is just what we got.

It looks like snow, but really it seemed to be mostly ice.

What? You want us to go out there?

Well, ok... I'll go...

....but Honey says 'absolutely not'.

Mom quick! Look over there...something in the tree!

It's a cardinal! Look how bright red he is against all the dull colors of winter.

((Mom note: Can't wait to get the new lens for my camera that I ordered last night! Should give me a MUCH better zoom for things like this!))

Alright Mom...I came, I saw a bird, I did my business (both kinds!)...but now I'm cold and it's wet and I'm ready to head back inside.

  2. Our yard looks a lot like yours. There was just enough snow this morning for dad to throw some snow balls. The weather peeps say it won't stay around for long though.

  5. Greetings from cold, snowy Colorado! We had a blizzard on Christmas night and although Hunter doesn't mind going out to do his duty, we don't walk when it's as bad as it's been. I don't blame you for wanting back inside; we have lots of ice here and have to be careful walking. Happy New Year to you all, may 2016 be filled with love, laughter and adventures.
