Less and More

Image
You remember the other day I told you momma said I was looking pretty shaggy? Well...apparently THAT is code for 'You already have an appointment with the groomers!' So it wasn't just a statement...she used it as a warning. The good news is I kept most of my furs, with the exception of my face and feet and bottom. It's been awfully cold, and Momma says we aren't out of it yet. Though spring is right around the corner, winter is hanging on and not wanting to let us go. As a matter of fact, this coming Sunday straight into Tuesday we're supposed to be getting more snow. So no, we are NOT out from mean old winter's grip yet. I'm crossing my paws and hoping that spring comes to save us sooner rather then later. Until then, I think I'll just stay inside where it's nice and warm and play with my squeeky-fox.

Sorrow and Joy

Image
Yesterday momma and I heard some sad news over at  Frankie and Ernie's  that sweet Daisy of  Downunder Daisy  lost her battle with cancer and has since gone over the Rainbow Bridge. Momma and I are both sure that she was greeted well by all her friends who had gone over previously, and that she will watch carefully as Angel-Daisy over her friends and family still here on earth.  Our hearts, mine and momma's, go out to all who are hurting with this sad news.  Run free at the Bridge, sweet scottie princess, and know how much you are already missed. Despite the sorrow of this news, there is joy also in Blogville. Lily, of Two French Bulldogs , has a new friend to play with! His name is Julius Edward, and he does certainly look like a swell guy. I can't wait to see how much trouble  fun he and Lily start having! Why not go over and welcome him to Blogville? Speaking of fun... All that now we have here in Pennsylvania is beginning to melt down! It's making

Review Time!

We got another email from the wonderful Mr. Andrew at Chewy.com , asking if we'd like to try another new treat? Two words: Yes, please! It didn't take long for the new yumminess to arrive, because Mr.Chewy is super awesome with their shipping! Even WITH all the crazy snows we've been having, it still got to us promptly. So, what fun deliciousness is in the box? For this round of treats, Mom chose these Canidae TidNips Meaty-Licious treats (view these treats on Chewy.com's webpage here , or on Canidae's webpage here ). She chose these for me because she knows I enjoy a good soft treat over harder crunchy ones, and these seemed to fit the bill. Here's how Chewy describes these treats on the treats webpage: CANIDAE Chicken, Turkey, Lamb & Salmon TidNips are soft and tasty treats that your dog will love! Made with real chicken, turkey, lamb, and salmon, and supplemented with Vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids, these treats are not only fun

Sepia Saturday!

After all that pawtying at the Queen of Hearts dance yesterday, I am certainly pooped out! It was a close thing that I even made it to any of the fun yesterday....we had A LOT of snow over the past two days. There I am running down the path Momma had to shovel to our fuel tank.  And you know what? Today we're getting another couple of inches. ....can we be done with winter now?

Woohoo! Dance Day!

It's here, it's here...it's FINALLY here! Today is Valentine's day, a day honoring this wonderful thing called love! What else is today, that I am so super excited for?! Even MORE excited for then the actual holiday itself?! Since Momma can't figure out how to link the picture, click anywhere on this text to go to Madi's blog for a link to all the fun events happening through Blogville today!  Today is Mayoress Madi's Queen of Hearts dance...and I am so excited to attend!!! The wonderful Mayoress and LOTS of our Blogville friends have worked very super hard to put together this even for us, and I am so thankful and just KNOW it's going to be lots of fun!  This is going to be my very first ever Blogville event, and I plan on doing it ALL. Stuffing myself silly with all the wonderful foods, dancing till my paws are sore, singing along with ALL the BDA's awesome music....just EVERYTHING!  Thank to my buddy Ranger and his Rangebrant Stu

Did you know...

...that I have a fur-sister? Not another poodle, or even another dog. Nope. My fur-sister is Momma's cat, Baby. Baby has lived with Momma since 2004, when she came home with Momma as the last kitten in a litter that's her cousin's neighbor's cat had had. Momma actually had to smuggle kitten-Baby into the house, because her poppa didn't particularly like cats and was against her having one. Momma's poppa didn't even know that kitten-Baby was in the house until a good two-weeks later! He has been a fan of Baby ever since. I say Baby is my fur-sister, but really we aren't that close. Momma tells me I'm a little to rambunctious of a pup for the 10-year old cat. I try to get her to play with me, but most of the time she just bops me on the nose and finds higher ground to look down on me from.  Her nose bops don't hurt; she has no claws. Sadly, that was one of two things that Mom's poppa demanded happen if she wanted

Just saving it for later...

Snow-down Throw-down Thursday

Image
Today Momma and I headed over to Poppa's house where we'll be spending the next few days. We haven't visited for about a week, so I was really excited to see him and my best pal, Honey! As soon as we got there, Momma shoo'd us outside so we could have a throwdown play a little bit in  on top of the snow. I say on top of because after all the snow yesterday we also got some freezing rain and sleet, so all that created a hard crusty layer over the soft snow.  I don't sink in anymore, now I can just walk overtop it...and so can Honey! Come on, Wesley! Let's play! There were a few big 'ol holes in some spots of the snow, I decided to investigate! Of course, Honey came over and helped. Helllllo! Anyone in there?! As it turns out, there wasn't anything in those holes...just the smell of Honey's feet! The holes were made by her  yesterday when she tried to walk through the snow.

Wordless Wednesday: LOTS of snow

Image
That's...a lot of snow...but I'm gonna try playing in it anyway! Here I go!! OK, that's enough...coming back in!  ...Really?! That's as far as I went?!

MORE snow and Barkday wishes!

Image
And JUST when all the old stuff was starting to melt these past few days...now we are getting MORE snow. We're supposed to get from 2-4 inches throughout the day today, which isn't terrible awful BUT it is still snow and, according to Momma 'MOST unwelcome!'.  In other news, the Barkday and Gotcha day calenders organized by Jazzi and Riley 's Mom, Elyse have arrived! This is very exciting, cause now I can know when all my friends special days are!  AND today, according to this most awesome of calenders, it tells me that today is a double whammy Barkday day! Today is the second birthday of the coolest doods around, Murphy and Stanley !  Happy Barkday, guys! Hope you get your most favoritest treats ALL day and LOTS of super fun presents!
