Tuesday Tweets

Image
Last week on Tuesday we told you about the bird feeders mom put up in the yard. At the end we sort of debated on Tuesday Tweets or Feather Friend Friday. We decided on Tuesday Tweets since the original post was Tuesday and well...why not just continue on from there? So here are some of the various birds that have come to entertain us eat at the feeders this past week. We've had a few handsome blue jays. A Carolina Wren. Some Downy Woodpeckers. A couple of finches. A lovely lady Cardinal, with her friend the Chickadee. And, of course, her handsome male counterpart and his friend the Tufted Titmouse. A Nuthatch.  A Red-Bellied Woodpecker. Some Mourning doves and juncos. Mom laughs at this photo. Does that little Junco look like a bird-y security guard to you? 'You wanna get to the doves, you gotta go through me first! Next week for Tuesday Tweets, mom is debating on having me and Honey pick out one of the species of b...

New things in the yard

Hey Honey, come here and look at this. Or don't, I guess...that's ok too... Mom put something new out in the yard!  Well...a few somethings, really.  Bird feeders...and they are really drawing a crowd! One cedar seed feeder, one hanging finch feeder, and three types of suet feeders. Yeesh mom! Look, there's a Juno and some friends hanging out on the seed feeder in the tree, Hello there, feathered friends! and some downy headed woodpeckers on the suet feeders,  ...or maybe they are hairy woodpeckers? Mom says that both species are so similar, it's hard to tell! and on the ground some more juncos and LOTS of mourning doves! All in all, mom counted about a dozen mourning doves scattered around on the ground today! Since Mom put up the feeders, we have seen all kinds of local wild birds show up for breakfast and dinner. Mom's been taking so many photos, she's thinking of maybe making a weekly post here about the birds...

#ChewyInfulencer time!

Hello Blogville! Today is a very special day...it's Chewy review day! Being out from blogging for quite awhile, it's also been quite awhile since there's been a review for Mr. Chewy. Not that the gloriousness of Chewy  and all those wonderful people who work for the company had been forgotten about! Miss. Sydney has always been super wonderful, and we all wish to her THE BEST EVER on her new promotion! While those monthly emails from Miss.Sydney will be missed...it's super exciting to now get to know and work with Miss. Natalie in this new year! Speaking of Miss. Natalie...she had quite the list of try-ables for January! Lots of good things, but one thing caught stood out, and that was the Evanger's Gently Dried Treats - to be a bit more specific about it, the Evanger's Nothing But Natural Beef Tripe Gently Dried Treats . Now, neither Honey nor I have ever in the history of ever had tried beef tripe - we didn't even know what it was! ...

Playtime?

Image
When Honey and I go out into the yard she turns into some kind of demanding beast. Add a little snow on the ground and oh boy...she won't let me be! I do occasionally like to run around and play, but when outside I am more likely to just enjoy sniffing around the yard. Honey is super persistent in her pestering requests to run around and play though.  Eventually I have to just stop her and give her a 'Seriously? Leave me alone!' look. Not that it ever seems to matter...
