Hello and...

Image
Hello Blogville!   I've know I've been absent for awhile (again...), but wanted to say that I do think of everyone here often! I (and mom) often lurk and peek at everyone's blogs, though haven't made comments.  With 2016 going out and 2017 coming in, mom and I have been discussing coming back to Blogville again. Or at least trying to.  We realize that these past few times haven't been very successful. Whoops. BUT ANYWAY... This long-winded post was originally meant to really do one thing, and that's to pass along this message: As well as Happy Holidays to any of our friends out there who celebrate a holiday other then Christmas!  We wish for everyone HEATH and HAPPINESS , and lots of LOVE and LAUGHTER this year!

Wordless Wednesday

Image
...and all the rest of the days, too. Not much has been happening here...and Mom just hasn't been feeling very, as she puts it,  'computer-y'. So she's very glad for Blogpaw's Wordless Wednesday blog hop...where we can just be wordless and be done. Though...for a Wordless Wednesday, it turned a bit wordy, didn't it? This is a blog hop!

Mom and Me Monday

Image
Mom was playing with her camera again, trying to figure out the self-timer settings. To do so, she used herself and also enlisted me as a test subject. This is one of the photos she managed to get...and while from a technical aspect it's not what she hoped...she loves it for what it is!

Happy Gotcha day to me!

Yup, that's right! Three years ago today mom and dad, aka Amanda and Chris, came to pick me up and bring me home with them. Here's my first ever picture with Mom: And here's my first ever picture with Dad: Wasn't I a cute little thing?  Bah...who am I kidding...I'm STILL cute.

Spot Me Saturday

Image
Mother is telling me it's my turn to blog again. I've told her she has to find me, first.

Flower-y Friday

Image
...ALMOST Flower Saturday...because MOM got on this post late.  Really late. Like...five to midnight late..which means by the time it's actually posted it WILL be Saturday. Probably. Yeesh Mom, yeesh! Anyway flower and Friday. We've  had  both over our way! First off...Iris flowers. Iris flowers everywhere! Or...well...at least at the end of dad's house's driveway! On top of those pretty purple ones, there's this pretty maroon-ish and yellow on growing on by the front road.  This one mom has declared her favorite. Also out by the front road, both facing the road the also the house are rhododendron bushes...lots of them! In the backyard, by the pool, the pink peonies are blooming. There are even some flowers growing out on the water on the lake! Back in PA Mom says there are flowers, too.  BUT she says those'll wait until next flower Friday...and then she'll have Baby's help with those ...

Whoa!

Image
So...just earlier Mom, Honey and I were all chilling out in the backyard at dad's.  Mom was pointing her camera at everything under the sky...but mostly at the flowers currently blooming in the gardens. Occasionally she would point it at me and Honey. She had just snapped the one above of me inspecting the ornamental grass for any interesting smells and Honey's butt  when suddenly she spin around and stated moving as quick as she could for the door, calling for me and Honey to come have a cookies inside PRONTO. Well...we didn't argue...who argues about cookies? BUT when we got inside we didn't immediately get the cookies. Instead Mom quick shut the door and then RAN to the other room when some of her other camera lenses are, changed for the one she uses for birds and things that are farther away and then ran back towards a window and started to quick take pictures. I had NO IDEA what was up with this woman or where these cookies she had told ...

Happy Memorial Day.

P.S- If you can't read mom's atrocious handwritting the sign reads: In memory of many,  In honor of all, THANK YOU to all who have served.

Caturday Introductions

Image
So...you saw the post our mother made yesterday.   Can you imagine?  She seems to think, for some reason, that I should give blogging a try. Well, that crazy human woman may think it's a good idea, but I'm not sold on it. After all, anything that cuts anymore into my beauty sleep then the usual (i.e: eating, 'pursonal business', grooming) is...well, pretty unacceptable. Photo circa...2008. Maybe. Mother and myself. Murderous look due to interruption of daily beauty sleep time. Unacceptable. However since my mother has been good to me for the past 13 years, and since I know how badly that little poodle dog wants to come back to this Blogville place...I will try. For starters, I have been with mother since 2003. I was the last in a litter of 'Free Kittens' one of her neighbors cats had had, and with being the last and with no one who seemed to want to take me home I was about to be dumped at the pound. And then mother heard...

I don't want to jinx things but...

Image
I think that talk I had with my mom...coupled with everyone's comments and the threat of a posse of cats and dogs and other animals (thanks Madi, that idea was GREAT!)  I believe I am back to blog again! But wait...what's that Mom? You've got a request? That I allow Baby Cat to blog here occasionally, too...that it's only fair? Well...ok...I don't see any problem with that. However.... Hold it right there, lady. WHY are you bringing me into this tom-foolishness?! ...does she even WANT to? Oh, you think she'll like it if she tries it out?   BOLBOLBOL Oh wait...that wasn't supposed to be funny, was it?

A Letter to my Mom

Image
Mother, I love you. I love you very much. ...BUT... we really need to have a talk. I have been way to lax on you about my blog. I'd do it myself but you see...I have no thumbs. Or...well, any fingers at all.  Nope. None.  None at all...which makes it super difficult for me to use the many-buttoned-clicky-thing that makes words show up on the glowy-square-thing where all my Blogville friends live.  And I miss my Blogville friends. So can we please do something about this?  We can start up again slow. Maybe a picture here and there...you do still point the flashy-beast thing at me an awful lot so I know you have them!  Or how about just making some comments on my furiends blogs? You know I think of them all often...and I know you do, too, Mom!...so how about taking a peek at some of their pages, even if it's just a hello? As I already said, mom...I love you very much. BUT... Please please please please please please ...

Weekend snow recap

Image
So this winter storm Jonas guy...he wasn't very nice. He came through and left a LOT of snow in lots of places. For us, it all started Saturday morning. When Mom, Dad and I all woke up and looked outside this is the sight that we were met with: According to the info from the camera, mom took this photo at 8:25am. A inch or two of snow first thing in the morning...with plenty more falling down! Mom wanted to do pictures throughout the day, but was very wary of taking her camera out into that to get all wet.  The next time she took the camera outside with us was about 1:30pm. The snow hadn't let up, and Mom wanted to go re-shovel the path from the sliding glass door over to the driveway again. (If there's lots of snow, instead of waiting for the end she likes to go out multiple times so she's only moving so much at once.) Honey and I went over to check out Mom's shoveling job. Hey, mom...you missed a spot over here! Though Honey i...

Black and White Sunday

Image
Yesterday we got LOTS of snow from winter storm Jonas.  Mom took this picture of me blasting through it at..about 2:30 yesterday afternoon. It was high, but I could still plow through it!  BUT that was at mid-afternoon...we continued to get snow all the rest of the day until about 8pm. Mom took this picture of the birdbath two hours later.  That's a lot of snow!  Tomorrow Mom'll post up some more pictures! These two pictures today are in black and white...because it's Sunday! And Sunday's are always black and white thanks to the Black and White Sunday blog hop, hosted by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever !

Snowy Saturday

Image
Well...we're getting it now! Our first real snowstorm of this winter...winter storm Jonas has arrived! After waking up our first order of business is always bathroom business...so I went to look out the door... Woo look at it all already! Mom opened the door and out I went. Ok...this is far enough. Right now it's still snowing, and Mom has been out once to clear a nice path for Honey and me. She's hoping that it stops sometime later so we can get some really fun snow pictures!
